Attendees can apply the most appropriate changes to their own culture and leave with a change strategy that will help grow their business. Andy Smith’s experience and direct involvement with this period makes this seminar not only highly valuable but entertaining as well. (When did you last see an audience that was not involved, listen or remember anything?)
There are many who have seen the corporate side of change and many who have seen the retail side of corporate change, Andy Smith was involved with both sides of the organizational change in the 25 years he has been involved with Harley-Davidson. This program deals with the major forces that Andy observed that drove the changes that Harley-Davidson implemented to achieve the success that the world has seen. He walks audiences through the steps they can take to generate better ideas, get to the core of chronic problems and invigorate their business. In this session you will learn how to:
(This noisy, fun and memorable, high-impact presentation shows how creativity can be applied to produce better results and enjoy work more than ever before.)
This program on Leadership is interactive and somewhat introspective. It is designed to help a potential leader understand the difference between management and leadership and how one will get physical commitment (attendance) and the other will get emotional commitment (discretionary effort and loyalty in hard times). The best companies (such as Harley- Davidson) have been built on the latter rather than the former. Once the difference is understood, then understanding ones own critical values and how to make sure that your behavior reflects these values is covered in the next part of the program. The last part talks about the culture one works in and how critical it is to understand it and even write stories into it. It is not a standard leadership seminar!!!!! This course takes the participants mind off work for a few hours and into their own lives, after all if you are not living the life you want (living your deepest values) for over half your waking hours, it is a crying shame.
This session covers 10 leadership strategies for building a high integrity organization. Based on the book, Leading to ethics co-written by Andy Smith, this session is a primer on ethics for those who have not quite decided if they want to spend the rest of their life in jail or, running a high quality organization. You know all this stuff but haven’t heard it lately!
The difference between brilliant and mediocre teams is not so much their collective mental equipment but how well they use it and how well they work together. The Six Hats method makes participants think in parallel and in focus about all sides of an issue. By mentally wearing and switching symbolic “hats,” people separate thinking into six categories for analyzing and resolving issues objectively, quickly, thoroughly, and correctly.
