Keep Your Home California

Administered $2.3 billion as part of the federal Hardest Hit Fund (HHF). Over seven years, we accomplished the following:

Handled 1.5 million calls, assisting homeowners in distress.

Provided counseling services to over 150,000 applicants.

Delivered underwriting assistance to nearly 80,000 households, ensuring they could keep their homes.

Statewide Housing Support

Through partnerships with CalHFA, we provided free, confidential counseling services to over 8,000 California residents in danger of eviction or foreclosure. This initiative enabled HUD-approved housing counseling agencies to provide critical services, including foreclosure prevention and rental assistance.

Housing Stability Counseling Program (HSCP)

In 2021, the American Rescue Plan Act established the Housing Stability Counseling Program (HSCP), with funds administered by NeighborWorks America. Credit.org received funding across three HSCP rounds, enabling housing stability counseling for 3,193 households facing eviction, foreclosure, income loss, or homelessness, providing essential financial education and resources for stable housing.

Distribute $93 million in homeowner assistance payments.

Massachusetts Homeowner Assistance Fund (Mass HAF)

The Massachusetts Homeowner Assistance Fund (Mass HAF) was created under the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) to deliver essential support to Massachusetts homeowners impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Credit.org played an integral role in the program’s implementation, bringing its expertise to various facets of service delivery:

Over 14,000 applications were processed.
Comprehensive housing counseling services, ensuring the applications understood their options and were supported in gathering documentation, determining eligibility, and accessing funds.
Payment disbursement services where every penny was accounted for!

MyHomeCT

The MyHomeCT program was a statewide initiative in Connecticut, funded by the U.S. Treasury’s Homeowner Assistance Fund (HAF) and administered by the Connecticut Housing Finance Authority (CHFA), to support homeowners facing financial hardships due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Credit.org played a pivotal role in the program’s success, serving as the sole payment processing fiscal agent.
